The Love Shack displays the number of Love Shack Points you have that can be used for L+W purchases.  24 points = a free shirt!

To earn points:

• Refer a friend and that friend joins and either submits a design or buys a shirt, get 5 pts. Initially, you can only receive one free shirt (5 referrals), but you can continue referring people for the karmic sake of just being nice! : )
• Refer a charity- 25 pts.
• Win a weekly project, get 25 pts. Win a featured charity project, get 40.
• Snap of photo of you alone or with friends wearing L+W designs and email it to us- 4 pts
• Note: you only get points for pics with new shirts being worn.  (we have to warn against people trading shirts with friends to fake having new ones and submitting 50 photos and whatnot)
• Return a shirt and we don't have what you want in stock- 24 pts.

We use US Postal first class service.

Shipping within the US is $5 for orders less than $75 and takes up to 5 days. International shipping is $10 and takes up to 10 days, depending on the country.

For US addresses, we provide free shipping for orders of $75 or more.

Unfortunately we at Love+Water designs cannot estimate what, if any, fees, import duties or taxes, would apply to any orders shipped internationally, and recommend speaking with your country’s customs office to gather the appropriate answers.

Depending on how quickly you change your mind after placing the order in our system, it will be somewhat difficult or very difficult to catch an order before it ships. But the sooner we are notified, the better, and we'll do our best!

In the unfortunate circumstances that you want to cancel an order, again, depending on how soon after placing the order you change your mind, it will be somewhat difficult or very difficult to cancel an order. And because we are striving to raise money for charities around the world through our t-shirt sales, we prefer not to return any payment(s) made and will send you another shirt of equal or lesser value without a problem.

All Credit Card information used for purchases on the Love + Water designs site is protected by the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol with 128 bit encryption.  SSL creates a secure communication channel by encrypting all communication between the user and server.  Your payment is processed through Paypal, a payment system that is trusted by more than 100,000 financial institutions nationwide, so we don't even see your credit card information directly.

We have teamed up with Alternative Apparel to bring you the highest and finest quality t-shirts. We carry a Basic Crew that is 100% cotton jersey, and an Eco-Heather Crew, which is a unique imperfect blend of organic cotton, recycled polyester, and naturally occurring rayon. Both are specially washed for a super soft feel.

Below you will find Alternative Apparel’s size charts. Our size charts are measurements across your chest.

Guys: please measure 1-2 inches below your armpits.

Gals: please measure around your bust at apex.

Also please note: your size for unisex may differ from your size for women or men.

All of our shirts are Slim Fit, so they fall close to your body and tend to show off your curves! For a more regular or loose fit, get one size larger.

Our shirts tend to keep to their original fit, assuming you wash in cold water and tumble dry low to medium at the very most.

Depending on a shirt’s popularity and demand, we will do reprints accordingly and apologize for the inconvenience.  In the meantime, send us an email with details of the shirt you want to reprint@loveandwaterdesigns.com.

Sure, you can exchange it for another of equal or lesser value, but we prefer not to return payment as we are striving to raise money for charities around the world through our t-shirt sales.

We sincerely apologize and we will happily pay for return shipping and send you the right shirt.  Because we are striving to raise money for charities around the world though with our t-shirt sales, we prefer not to return any payment(s) made.

If you simply want a different shirt, it may take up to 2 wks.  If we made a mistake (we’re not perfect-sorry!), it may take up to 5 days.

Every month we feature one charity on our site, for the entire month, in a effort to help raise awareness about that charity and the inspiring work they are doing.  From the Featured Charity Project, we donate 50% of every t-shirt sale to the featured charity.  In addition, we hold Select Projects for specific causes in an effort to raise more awareness for a particular project they are working towards.  The timeline for Select Projects varies depending on the timeline of the cause.  We donate between 15% and 50% of the profits to the Select Projects, depending on the project itself.

Our review process takes anywhere from 2 to 7 days, depending on the volume of submissions coming in.  Once a design is approved though, we will send a congratulatory email to notify you and your design will be uploaded within 2 days.

We consider a design’s total views, average rating, comments and votes, in addition to it's overall appeal and bold creativity as determined by the team at Love+Water designs.  Considering these factors, a design's presence on the site becomes clear, as well as its spark for conversation, and we can then best judge exactly what our community wants to wear and deliver.

For Weekly and Featured Charity Projects, you can Rate and Vote on as many designs as you want, and while voting is open, you can change your rating or vote as well. Rating a design is a simple way to measure a design's overall appeal and the higher a design's average rating, the better. Voting however, is like saying, "I'd buy this super awesome shirt if it gets printed to support this artist and charity!" For your design to get printed, we consider its total views, average rating, comments and, most importantly, its total votes.

Every month we feature one charity in particular on our site, for the entire month, in a effort to help raise awareness about that charity and the inspiring work they are doing.  Artists submit designs inspired by the Featured Charity and we vote on our favorite designs.  At the end of the month, the winning t-shirt is chosen, and we donate 50% of every t-shirt sale to the featured charity.

Our Weekly Design Projects will launch Summer of 2011.  These Projects enable Artists to choose their preferred Charity and design for them specifically. These projects will run for 5 days (Sun-Thurs) during which we are open for submissions, rate/vote designs, and announce winners.  Weekly Design Projects will run from Sunday 12AM Eastern Standard Time to Thursday 12PM EST, with the winners being announced on the site the following Sunday.  From the Weekly Design Project, we donate 15% of every t-shirt sale to the charity that inspired the shirt’s designer.  

Before launching the L+W site, we contacted and profiled hundreds of charities to be featured on the site.  However, there are countless charities doing wonderful work across the world, and now, we want YOU to help.  If you know a great charity that should be a part of our community, please send us an email with the charity’s information and we will reach out to them.  All charities must pass an interview process with Love+Water designs, but we are all about spreading the love and connecting as many people and artists with as many charities around the world as possible.

Each charity with a profile on our site must have a 501c3 status, must be based in the United States or Europe and must be providing services and/or programs that aim to support a humanitarian issue.  We pre-screen each charity that wants to create a profile on our site and reserve the right to refuse any charity we feel does not meet our standards of excellency, financial integrity and/or human integrity.  If you refer a charity to us that passes our requirements, you will receive 25 Love Shack points in your account.

Gift certificates are distributed via Email only.  If you have a profile, a gift certificate can be added to your Love Shack automatically.  If you want to give someone a gift certificate who does not have a profile on our site, we ask that you provide us with their information and we will create a profile for them and add the gift to their Love Shack account.

No, but if you specify it is a gift, we will not include the receipt in the shipment; instead we will email it directly to you.

The state of NY requires that we charge sales tax on all clothing sold within the state of NY, regardless of where it ships to, and tax has already been added to the price of each shirt.
